Crocheting 101 with Shelby

3 class series (choose 1 series):
  • Series A: ​​Fridays, February 6, 13, & 20 from 6-8 pm
  • Series B: Saturdays, February 7, 14, & 21 from 10 am-12 pm
  • Series C: Fridays, March 13, 20, & 27 from 6-8 pm
  • Series D: Saturdays, March 14, 21, & 28 from 10 am-12 pm
  • Series E: Fridays, April 10, 17, & 24 from 6-8 pm
  • Series F: Saturdays, April 11, 18, & 25 from 10 am-12 pm

Class Size
4 adults

Skill level
For total beginners! No skills required.

Recommended materials:
  • 1 skein of light colored, tightly spun yarn (nothing fuzzy!) in worsted weight (4) or chunky weight (5)
  • 1 crochet hook. Size H/5mm for worsted weight yarn or 6.5mm for chunky weight yarn
  • 3+ locking crochet stitch markers
  • 1 darning needle

  • Purchase a beginner kit from the shop - $16  
  • Use materials from our Recycle Center, which are always free to use and take; however, materials can vary and there's no guarantee the necessary supplies are available

Techniques covered
In this three-week course, you will learn the basics of crocheting, including:
  • Making a slip knot and chaining
  • Single crochet, worked flat
  • Double crochet, triple crochet, and half-double crochet, worked flat
  • Common crocheting errors
  • Ribbing
  • Weaving in ends

Notes
  • This class is accessible for right-handed and left-handed students

Cancellation Policy
To cancel a lesson, please email us. To receive a full refund, the lesson must be cancelled 5 days before the lesson start time. We cannot offer any refunds after that time. 

Reschedule Policy
To reschedule a lesson, please email us. Lessons need to be rescheduled at least 48 hours before lesson start time, otherwise they will be considered cancelled. A lesson can only be rescheduled twice before it is cancelled.

No Show Policy
We will not offer any refunds for missed lessons.
