Knitting 101 with Denise

Description: In this three-week course, you will learn the basics of knitting, including:

• Slip knot and long-tail cast on
• Knit and purl stitches, worked flat
• Garter stitch and stockinette stitches, worked flat
• Changing color
• Rib stitch and moss stitch
• Binding off
• Weaving in ends

This class is taught in continental-style knitting (but can be in English style, if preferred) and is a great fit for those who have never taken a knitting course or need a refresher. The first class will cover casting on and knit and purl stitches. The second class will teach you garter and stockinette stitches and how to change colors. The third class will be more open to allow you to practice your skills and include instructions for ribbing and moss stitch. The class will end with learning how to bind off and weave in yarn ends.

Class size: 4 students. Beginner classes are small to maximize individual support from the instructor.

Skill level: For total beginners! No skills required.

Materials included: one skein of Cascade Anthem worsted yarn, your choice of color, a pair of size 7 (4.5 mm) circular Clover knitting needles, a tapestry needle, and stitch markers.

When: Pick which series works best for your schedule when you purchase the course.

• Series A: ​​Thursdays, September 18, 25, and October 2 from 6-7:30pm
• Series B: FULL - Thursdays, November 6, 13, and 20 from 6-7:30pm
  
• Series C: Saturdays, September 20, 27, and October 4, from 2-3:30pm
• Series D: Saturdays, November 8, 15,  and 22 from 2-3:30pm

Cancellation Policy
To cancel a lesson, please email us. To receive a full refund, the lesson must be cancelled 5 days before the lesson start time. We cannot offer any refunds after that time. 

Reschedule Policy
To reschedule a lesson, please email us. Lessons need to be rescheduled at least 48 hours before lesson start time, otherwise they will be considered cancelled. A lesson can only be rescheduled twice before it is cancelled.

No Show Policy
We will not offer any refunds for missed lessons.
